City Details

Vancouver City Info

From sea to sky, Vancouver is spectacular by nature. Virtually surrounded by water and located right alongside the Coast Mountain Range, Vancouver has one of the mildest climates in Canada. With over half a million residents, Vancouver is British Columbia’s largest city.

There is so much to see and do in Vancouver. Those who love the outdoors have the luxury of being able to swim in the ocean and ski in the mountains on the same day. With the weather relatively mild, compared to the rest of Canada, it is common to take advantage of the spectacular golf courses year round.

Although forestry is Vancouver’s largest industry, tourism is close behind with a large number of people flocking to see a city encased in such natural beauty. Known as Hollywood North, Vancouver is the third largest film production centre in North America, next to Los Angeles and New York City. Vancouver is consistently ranked high in worldwide “livable city” rankings.
